Finding Clarity: How Compassionate Accountability Builds Vibrant Relationships, Thriving Workplaces, and Meaningful Lives with Marc Lesser
"An important and fundamental distinction to make is between 'difficult people' and behaviors or actions that we find difficult," Marc says in his book Finding Clarity: How Compassionate Accountability Builds Vibrant Relationships, Thriving Workplaces, and Meaningful Live. "The pattern of labeling difficult behavior as a kind of 'character flaw' is so pervasive that it has a name: attribution error. This refers to how, when someone does something that hurts or angers us, we tend to judge that person’s entire character—and once we label them a 'difficult person,' all of their actions fit under that umbrella."
Marc Lesser is a CEO, executive coach and Zen teacher with more than 25 years of experience supporting leaders in reaching their full potential, both in business and in life. Lesser helped develop the world-renowned Search Inside Yourself program within Google – a mindfulness-based emotional intelligence training for leaders which teaches the art of integrating mindfulness, emotional intelligence and business savvy for creating great corporate cultures and a better world.
