It is the belief of the editorial review staff at the Black Reality Think Tank that the strong self-governing Black Family can be resurrected.  The key to that resurrection process is the Black Woman.  She is the “womb” the incubator of life for our community. As Minister Farrakhan stated “she is the co-creator with God.   She must be loved and protected to nourish properly the next generation.  The men of our community cannot abuse and disrespect her or allow others to violate her.

This week’s guest on the Black Reality Think is part of that movement of women who are standing up for women’s rights operating in the spirit of our great ancestors; such as Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Mary McCloud Bethune and others who trailblazed the quest for freedom and liberation in the Black World.  Ms. Diana Patterson is an active participant of this movement of strong women activist.  She agreed to come forward and discuss her book that tells her story of trials and tribulations.  The book is called “Everything Grows in the Valley.”  It is a story of redemption and healing. Diana indicates that the book started off as a journal of various experiences from some of the darkest times of my life.  She will discuss her motivation for writing this book and indicate ways that it can help others tell their story and heal.  We will also discuss some of the goals and objectives of Ms. Patterson’s involvement with this strong coalition of women activist.
