Life in America for African people has always involved radical circumstances, whether it was intellectual or physical.  Black radicalism invokes a tradition of resistance formed within a uniquely historical, cultural and political perspective.   Rooted in a particular experience, Black radicalism develops as a reaction to the oppressive and exploitive actions of the Euro-Arab world throughout the African sojourn in America.

Based on the principle of assertion and creation, the Black radical tradition remains committed to a vision of liberation, a vision that goes beyond the universalized European way of being.

This week’s conversation will highlight the history of radical methods used by Africans since 1619 beginning on the eastern shores of America.  The conversation will also focus on Africans who considered leaving the system of Capitalism and embracing Marxism as an economic and political way of life.  Did the transition work? The goal and objective of the Black Reality Think Tank is to understand the past, dissect the present, and support implementing a meaningful future,
