African American Book Porn: An Act of Empowerment

Someone once wrote, “Books give a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.”  We at the Black Reality Think Tank wholeheartedly agree. We define “book ” as a nonsexual stimulation and sensuality that creates a compulsive interest in books.  This week’s guest conversationalist is Ms. Heddy Keith who is the founder and Executive Director of the Milwaukee Writers Circle.

Our discussion focus is centered on providing an oral annotated selected bibliography of contemporary as well as seasoned books that passionately chronicle the African American journey.  This effort will suggest and/or reinforce helpful resources that can be used by educators and community activist in their efforts to “free the African mind.”  The goal and objectives of The Black Reality Think Tank are to diligently seek to understand the past, passionately dissect the present and work consciously toward a meaningful future.
