TOPIC: “Changing the Face of Medicine – the documentary, the project, the Movement!”
The weekend of August 1st – 3rd was the 113th Annual National Medical Association (NMA) conference held in Detroit, Michigan. The NMA promotes the collective interests of physicians and patients of African Descent. They fulfill this mission by serving as the collective voice of physicians of African descent and a leading force for parity in medicine, the elimination of health disparities and promotion of optimal health. The amazing women on the show tonight were in attendance at the NMA conference and played an integral role in the programming and direction of the conversations that evolved. Join us for a lively dialogue with filmmaker Crystal Emery, Dr. Claudia Thomas and Dr. Carolyn King – each of whom play a significant role in “Changing the Face of Medicine.”
