Elections Have Consequences and there is no doubt about the fact that as far as Election 2016 is concerned, the consequences will be devastating to most of us.  The incoming "president" is an ideologue, and an opportunistic con artist with a hot head, a childish reactionary mentality, and profound ignorance with regard to any area of foreign or domestic public policy. Even worse, he has a solid Republican Congress in both houses behind him.  Republicans now have nothing in the way of their plans to move forward at lightening speed to scrap Obamacare without anything at all in the works to replace it, and to cut and privatize Medicare (which the Republicans are calling Medicare "reform")!  These are just 2 things from a long list of horrifying assaults they will happily inflict upon the American people!
Republicans have the legislative dominance to eliminate those and other safety nets because Democrats lost over 1,000 federal and state legislative and executive branch seats while Obama, the centrist he installed to chair the DNC, DWS, and other (Bill) Clinton-era centrists have controlled party strategy. And that brings us to the DNC chair election.  The only way to stop Republicans from having their way is for Democrats to start taking back legislative control in 2018.
