Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy have changed. We think you'll like them better this way.
I know. I know. What is an ask? What is an informational? These are terms used to advocate on behalf of people or a policy when discussing the idea or thought with an elected official. When one or a group goes to visit an elected official in person you are often meeting with a staffer not the individual always. You must be prepared to do one or two major things. 1) Go in with items you're requesting them to do or support. 2) Provide them with information about the idea or thought to be aware of more than when you came. Knowing what you want and how to get it is what we will discuss during this episode. It is always good to spend your time wisely as you advocate for issues and people that cannot come themselves. Get to the point with the what you desire and leave them understanding your stance.
