Tim Dura

Tim received two B.Sci. Degrees from North Dakota State University. He served in the US Air Force for 22 years and was a command fighter pilot. Then he started and operated three diverse businesses. Tim then began a 20-year teaching career and got involved with teaching entrepreneurship. Tim’s program was extremely successful sending 5 businesses to the NFTE National Business Plan Competition in New York City

Currently, Tim is the Chief Operating Officer for the Polk Institute. Their mission is:  Serving social entrepreneurs to help make the world a better place. Social entrepreneurs have both a passion for business and compassion to make a positive impact. They understand the Triple Bottom Line, or the new 3Ps : People, Planet, & Profit.
