Elizabeth is the President and Co-Founder of the Institute for Educational Advancement. She has been an educator, researcher, and administrator of educational programs for over 30 years. She holds a Master’s degree in special education from the University of Southern California and has completed doctoral work in the field of educational policy and learning theory. She has served as the Associate Director of Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth and the Director of the Western Region for ten years prior to founding the Institute for Educational Advancement in 1998.
IEA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. They rely on the support of foundations, corporations, and individuals to provide their programs and services for bright young minds.
As an example, IEA offers challenging after-school, weekend, and summer enrichment classes that promote inquiry and the application of knowledge. Designed for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, Academy offers exceptionally creative learning opportunities that encourage in-depth exploration of topics outside of the typical school curriculum.
