'The Matt Duffin Show' - A Memorial Thunder

How is your Memorial Day going?  Solemn?  Picnicing, or just being outside for Spring?  In thought?  Like ANY other day for your own 'Memorial TBI' - being quiet and alone.  We certainly like those days, I well understand.  Especially while listening to an old (ok, classic) Eagles song - "I get a peaceful, easy feeling..."  But this is Indianapolis, and it's Race Day!  It's anything but peaceful around here - and the Downtown Milton Studio is 50-miles away from THE Track.  The Greatest Specical in Racing takes over then Month of May.  As is liked to say - "Visit, enjoy yourself, spend your money and get the hell out of town."

I've learned to ignore most of the hoopla, it seems better for my stimuli.  However, this is Indiana, and we grew up on Racing, er, Racin'.  We have more tracks per capita than most countries do, let along states.  Yes, there is a basketball court in all the parking lots, I'm sure.  Brain Injury and Auto Racing go hand in hand (head on head?).  Another reflection most Hoosiers and racing fans always have.  It seemed to drift away.  Personally, I know a large amount of 'backyard' racers whose weekend running laps is as well as dangerous as an explodinng IndyCar, to the skull.  Blunt force be damned, remember, tremendous speeds also can cause "trememdous whiplash" which will effect the brain more than the neck.  And these drivers?  Neighbors, husbands (wifes), parents, thrill seekers and simply adults who grew up around the auto business.  Competitiors.  Kept at a level of performance that life has created. Let's meet one.  Let's' also discuss Mt Lawn's donation to the HARD workers of the NC Miracle League Volunteers.  And, Not to be overlooked is TMDS Med MJ Month. Listen, call.
