Donte Baltimore, now age 28, joined the army reserves right out of high school in 2005 as a combat cameraman. As well as being of service to his country, Donte hoped his time in the military would ultimately better his life, by help with college funding and job experience. He deployed to Iraq from August 2008 to July 09 and was honorably discharged on October 2011.
The effects of PTSD began while in service. For two years after his discharge, the symptoms hightened. Repeated attempts to seek help went unmet, Donte spiraled down to the desperate darkness of the soul,.as his wife watched on helplessly. Their life was turned upside down. That was when Donte decided to end it all, as his wife watched on. His wounds resulted in him residing in a Brain Rehab Center for 2yrs & more time to come. His now Ex wife is suffering a PTSD of her own.
