My name is Lisa Dryer and I have been on the Brain Injury Radio Network  a guest and on panel shows as of 2017 for 2 and 1/2 years as a host on "Mess With MS."
When I was a child, I endured learning difficulties and had a seizure disorder. This was caused by a cardiac arrest and lack of oxygen to my brain a premmie. Until I finally realized as an adult, that what I thought was a "learning disability," was actually a brain injury!
I had been struggling with health difficulties for a while. Then a CT scan, showed an abnormal brain reading , I  laughed, saying,“I know I'm abnormal already! Tell me something I don’t know!”
Then, they told me I had MS! MS is one of  the most debilitating neurological diseases. When I discovered that I was diagnosed with it, it changed my life. I only knew to continue approaching life the way I always had: as a survivor! That does not imply that I did not make mistakes along the way - as people do when the road they thought they were taking in their life turns into a new one. Through friendship, family, spirituality, and the many MS role models I had, I began to beat back the monster of this disease.
Their in, I opened up my life to a journey of adventure: Learning things any normal person can do to enhance their lives after MS&brain injury. I hope you will come along with my guests and I on this adventure and find the positive in what seems to be all negative at first!
I choose guests that also live their lives with positivity and will teach YOU great tips and tricks to live a positive beautiful, full life despite your MS or BI or any issue you face today! ?
