I'm a LOT of things, yet primarily baseball holds me all together. It's my mind's SAFE SPOT. With a rattled or bursted brain, we need a safe spot. Over the last six years, BrainInjuryRadio.Com (org) has become my safe spot. 7-nighta week it became a comfort zone for my society of brain 'issues'. I fell in love, not with my mic or playlist, but my guests, my attempt to pass along coping and hoping skills for my BI sisters and brothers. My father, my origonal Co-Host, passed on yet with me every day. Has to be, or I don't....
It was BAD once before, well, a few times before, then the magic Milton word "WALA" we battled together thru it all. Nursing home stays, death, hospital after hospital for various reasons, yet 10 years later here I am. I didin't mean too, was discoverd giving great effort to the TBI folks around Indiana. Courage from given efforst became nationally recognized in the brain injury survival world. I'm just me. During my time on BIRN, I've at least a trio of serious accesdents as well, Kim limped with me over the air. The hospital stays, pre-surgeries1, Neuro Phsyc talks and Conference galore - My recorder went with me. I met Deborah Betty, fell for Jennifer Goodman after Craig Sicilia offered me an opertunity to lift and educate our world. He trusts, he's the Lord's Gift to Brain Survival. SO many listeners from around the world became friends, literally - last count TMDS reached into 68 countries. Taking some medical time off Doc says I'll need rest (What, me argue?) We'll have new hosts coming. I'll do a few, plug in a replay of life with a TBI. Just a routine Sunday Night BIRN schedual :)
