I first met Meghan Kennedy in 2009 when she was starting to work for Epilepsy organizations. Then she founded Epilepsy Education Everywhere which "is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness and education among the general public." http://epilepsyed.org/
I explained to her that I had grown up with an Epilepsy disorder that had resulted from a Brain Injury at birth. In 2009 I was sick with something, but then I had as yet to know that I had MS. Meghan and I have kept in touch because of shared interests and life experiences! Soon I will be volunteering for EEE! I am even able to share information about my experiences with Epilepsy on the show with you tonight and I couldn't think of a better guest to have on to help me talk about a wide range of Epilepsy knowledge!
Get ready for a terrific show 10/27 because we are going to bring you a ton of fantastic information about Epilepsy and how it applies to the general population, and how it can further affect someone with yet another brain injury, who MS, and perhaps any other complications!
Meghan Kennedy has also been a writer for The Mighty, an advocate of Purple Day, and does many other wonderful things for disability awareness!
"Mess With MS" airs on blogtalkradio.com/braininjuryradio at 5:30 PAC/8:30 Eastern and you can call in to talk to the host and guest at 424-2349540!
