The Models of Disability

Models are designed to deal with many things that we don't understand.  It is the same with disability there are many models used to catagoize what we might have going on.  Toward the end i am going to talk about a different kindof model one that you dont hear to much about if any but when it comes to disability we fit nicly in to one of the following for most people using these models.  But be clear the peson witht he disability is concidered not capable and should never do anything helping himself or the community of people living with a specific difference due to a disability they were born with or one that they aquired along lifes path ,  First is the Moral model saying we are being punished by Gid abd deserve it  the next is the medical mondel which says were brok or da=maged and need to be repairedthen there is that social model which depending on what side of it you live with.  Some say the answer\s will be giving to you the other says i amnot a victim, there is no needto fix anuything  we are a natural part of society  There is some merrit in all.  In the end it becomes a civil rights issue, even a right to exsist issue.  What ever the conclusion it ads up to wedont belong in he community fully and at aill and oppurtunitys never given but no fear plans to fix that our happening as we speak if your born with many forms of brain injury doctors, government agencies and lawyers hope to scrreen before birth to iradicate many of thes
