Refreshingly honest, warm and down-to-earth, Cheryl Kempf connects with those who hear her tell her story of survival.  Cheryl watched the normal life she, her husband and children had  dissolve, including losing most of the use of her right hand and right foot, the result of a traumatic brain injury sustained during a hospital stay.  

Today, Cheryl is thriving both professionally and personally, having immersed herself in making a difference in the lives of the disabled on a number of fronts.  She is Chair of the Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council for the state of Texas. She also shares her story with audiences in an effort to inspire awareness and motivate change. Cheryl is an author of two published novels, one of which was inspired by her father and his role in her care during her recovery. Cheryl enjoys the peace and healing of spending time with her horses and rides on a limited basis.  She lives in the Texas Hill Country with her family and a horse named Hallelujah.
