In June, we will interview Chandelier Scoggins and her mother Rev. Jennifer Mclean-Russ.
Chandelier has played soccer since age three. Chandelier was the middle child who never gave me any problems as a baby or as a child. Then, one day, while working in the Emergency Room, her husband called to say that the soccer ball had hit Chandlier in the face with her soccer ball and was under the concussion protocol. Afterward, she experienced headaches, light sensitivity, and nausea. Today Chandler is an OBGYN and bakery owner.
Chandelier credits her mother, Dr. and Reverend Jennifer Mclean- Russ, for her continued current progress. Dr. Mclean- Russ is a former Microbiologist, Registered Nurse, and Psychologist. In addition, she is a Christian-based counselor and community volunteer wife, mom, grandmother, sister, and friend at her home. Her list of memberships includes Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the American Nurses Association, and the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Jennifer is the daughter of a stroke survivor and mother of Chandler, who is managing Post-concussion Syndrome (PCS).
Join us for their story of trials and triumphs.
