In this country, we have a broken Special Education System. Raja Marhaba created the Jonathan Foundation (TheJonathanFoundation.org) to help families in need of Special Education Resources. In spite of many educators trying to help, there are many families that attend Individual Educational Plan (IEP) meetings and do not know their rights nor do they understand the assessment process. Tthe Jonathan Foundation is a bridge between the education process and the families that are attempting to navigate it on their own.

Just because many families have a loved one in the system, there is no guarantee they know how best to help. They often do not know their own rights, nor do they understand how these rights apply to their individual circumstances.To help people locate the help they need, the Jonathan Foundation has a Psychoeducational Assessment Scholarship Program. This program provides private assessments that are administered by highly qualified assessors.  As well as continuity among programs and administrators, this program offers advocacy services for families needing guidance and support. The Jonathan Foundation provides various resources that place the families on the right path.
