1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
When the Bible uses the word “hope,” it means a divine certainty, based on the Word of God. Jesus’ Second coming is called “the blessed hope.” It’s not a “maybe" — it’s certainty. We’re not waiting for the worst to happen. We’re awaiting the BEST.
Paul gives us sound instruction as to what we ought to be doing as we WAIT for the soon return of Jesus. Remember we are the "Children of the Light" and we are to be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
So as we WAIT for Jesus we are told by Paul to:
LEARN of His Coming
LOOK for His Coming
LIVE for His Coming
and...
LONG for His Coming like a bride longs for her bridegroom...
So let's learn how to look, live and long for the return of our Bridegroom, The LORD Jesus Christ!
Maranatha!
