Luke 2
Today we'll learn what it means for Jesus Christ to be LORD and see why we should adore The LORD Jesus Christ. Luke chapter 2 tells the story of the birth of the baby of Bethlehem. Question: who is this child? Now the wrong answers are infinite, but there's only one right answer. Let’s look in verse 11, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” So that’s who He is, “… a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” Now may I ask you a personal question? Do you believe that Jesus Christ is Lord? Ok so you do. Then may I ask you another question? Is He YOUR Lord? Now it’s one thing to say, “Yeah, I believe that Jesus Christ is Lord.”, but the second question always follows, is He YOUR Lord? Now let’s be more specific. Is He Lord of your tongue? Is He Lord of your time? Is He Lord of your treasure? Is He Lord of your talents? Is He Lord of your testimony? Is He truly Lord? Is He Lord in deed as well as word?
Now if Jesus Christ is your LORD then there are three points and principles that are true. Embracing the LORDship of Jesus Christ SECURES our salvation, SIMPLIFIES our service and SUBDUES Satan. And, I pray God will write them upon your hearts if you are willing to confess Him as LORD. So tune in and "Come let us adore Him!"
