SDG 312 Prepare for Persecution

Matthew 5:10

Jesus tells us that we will be persecuted in  Matthew 5:10-12
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Now we all see that the persecution of Christians is on the rise not only abroad but here at home and that's a sign of the times and means that Jesus is coming.

If you ridicule any other group today you'll be called a bigot or even prosecuted for a 'hate-crime, but if you want to become the butt of jokes and face the wrath of this world just become a true Bible-believing Christian.

And like the Bible says, no genuine Christian will escape persecution.

2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

So this message is all about preparing for persecution.

We also need to prepare our families and friends because we are living in a world that hostile to Bible-believing Christians.

Now, we can rub shoulders with this world and compromise The Word of God and become friends with this world.

And then we won't be persecuted, but persecution will come to ALL who live godly in Christ Jesus!
