With the advent of racial tensions and unequality in full force in the 60's, one such player Abner Haynes the son of a Baptist Minister took the reigns and deciced to boycott the discriminatory practices of black athletes in pro sports by boycotting the 1965 AFL Allstar Game which was to be held in New Orleans.
