Description: It is said that people of mixed race (black and white) and people with light skin have a certain privilege, preference or favor of the dominant culture since the institution of slavery in North America. Is it because of their light skin, their biological connection to their white masters or are they simply that much better than the other slaves or darker black population? Was this train of thought psychologically embedded in the minds of the slave and their descendants? How did it impact on them and their descendants?
