Last episode we talked about identifying the holes in our bucket, then how to plug those up. Today we are going to start to fill our buckets back up. We are wrapping this Healing the Hustle series up in the next two episodes, and I know I originally talked about covering Codependency this week, but I am going to have to circle back to that another day.

To set us up for the bucket filling, first I’m going to do a quick re-cap of how we got here. And, also a little reminder that this series is definitely for the “J” types, those who tend to be more “hustly” and entrepreneurs. Those who can’t sit still and always have to be moving forward.

Now, one of the first things you can do to start to fill you bucket up, after you’ve fixed the holes, is to be more Soulfish, actually being Soulfish as F*ck. My dear friend Judy came up with that word, which I love. I don’t like “self-care,” I don’t know. it’s so overused. And I don’t love the word “selfish” because I think people have an awful connotation with it.

Soulfish is doing those things that you need to do to take care of your soul, it has a much deeper meaning, a deeper impact. And on top of being Soulfish, we need a Soul Care Team to help us, to support us.

I know part of Healing the Hustle is absolutely having people who “get us” because otherwise we have these feelings of depression and anxiety and shame and isolation. We’ve all been there, to the networking events or other group meeting where we just don’t fit in, where there isn’t the connection we are craving and need. I would say is a huge one of people just don’t get us.

But when you find people that truly, truly get you, there is no better feeling. And there is no better way to Heal the Hustle than to absolutely be able to show up, unapologetically who we are, and have people get us… and you get them.

This is about filling our bucket a new way, a way of not feeling isolated and not feeling unseen.
