In the book entitled "The Restless Universe," by Nigel Henbest and Heather Couper; one of the most respected British astronomer Martin Rees, addressse the anthropic (the life of humans) situation people exist in. He points out that most of the universes are still-born, meaning that nothing of interest ever happen in them. Only in a few of them can complex scructures evolve into a conscious entity. Earth contains conscious entities-- namely us, thus it's one of the few planets having knife-edge balance found amongst the laws which govern the Universe. Contextually Mr. Rees made a classified allusion, on how intelligent human beings come to be occupants of earth's marvels, and their relevance of man/planet relstions...by saying: The Universe is part of every one us, and at many levels: from the mere physical fact that our bodies are composed of star dust, to our ultimate heritage, the use of our intellect to conquer space. Given time, mankind could spread over our Galaxy, and make the Milky Way his home. Just as our ancestors left their homelands to take over this planet on which we live.
