There was a time when all you heard about were weddings and births, now it seems every week there is news of someone passing. The latest is Horace Forbes, a well known Jamaican crooner. From Ska to Reggae to Dancehall, through it all, Horace would hold fast to the ballads and standards of foreign composers. But he was more that a singer. He produced shows to expose other risin talent and always had a hand in something to do with music. Horace was due to receive the Jamaican Music Excellence Award from Rootz of Music Inc. a non-profit headed by Eugene Grey.
