The Love Doctor Saturday Selections

Years of relationships experienced in life,
Some produced joy while others brought strife.
All served to teach patience and wisdom,
For a few I was ready to abdicate my kingdom.
The ups and downs of emotions took a toll,
So many times I had to just go for a stroll.
Patience tested with foibles that brought tears,
Humour I learnt to use, to alleviate fears.
A soft tone always advisable when heated,
Keep that temper quiet and calmly seated.
Our priorities too many times had differences,
Arguments flared threatening love's defences. 
Allowing commitment to others to Trump ours,
Busy away from each other too many hours.
Forgotten special events that grew us close,
Brain lapse on important dates,
emotions froze.
Happy moments were had on many occasions,
If only there were far less emotional fluctuations. 
Lovers must remember we are here for each other,
Not all the relatives and friends rather.
I will give you my every attention guaranteed,
Here to bring you smiles when in need.
I am here for you, us and ours, full force,
Not for others coming to the table for a four course.
Rockefeller or Gates is not my name or fate,
