In honor of Jamaica's Heritage Week Celebration, we join our fellow Jamaicans at home and abroad in celebrating our heritage. Heritage Week 2021 is being observed during the week of October 10 to to Heroes Day October 18th. The theme is "SALUTING OUR HEROES , SAFEGUARDING OUR LEGACY'.
Our heritage is one of the most important part of our identity. It is what sets us apart from all other countries. It helps us to preserve and safeguard our culture. This year's celebration has been marred by the events of the Covid 19 pandemic. In the spirit of true heroism, the Minister of Culture, Gender, Entrtainment and Sports the Honorable Olivia Babsy Grange has encouraged Jmaicans to celebrate and show gratitude to our everyday heroes who are fighting on the frontline in the fight against Covid 19. Our everday hereoes are our healthcare workers, members of our security forces , the teachers who hled the fort conducting virtual school and all those who continue to give themselves services to our country. To the children in Jamaica and all over the world, know that you are all heroes in your own right. Be encourage and stick to the task of learning.
