Remembering old time Jamaica presents a nostalgic feeling. The Jamaica of the #50s, #60s , #70s and #80s were fantastic years.  Jamaica with its rich dialect, culture and history has come to be known as "The #Island In The Sun." Many songs have been recorded about this beautiful island paradise. From Negril in the West to St. Thomas in the East, #Jamaica boast the most beautiful beaches and cuisine. Join me Sistah Cecile and my co host Dr. Ev as we jog down memory lane.

Jamaicans have a "way with words."  The Jamaican language is a deravitive of #Spanish, #English and the #African tribes brought to Jamaica during the years of African #Slavery.

Tonight we will feature some ot the words in the #Jamaican Dialect , their meanings and origin. Words like Bankra, Creng Creng, Buttry, Mannish wata, Cuzumba, Jan Cro, Chaka Chaka., Cuss cuss, #Duppy, ducunnu ,cubbitch, kibbah etc.
