GIVE BACK JAMAICA/LOOKING BACK AT 2021

The story of the Give Back Jamaica Crescent was born from the idea of simply "giving back" to an institution , Crescent All Age School, now Crescent Primary. Dr. Ev, a past student of the noble instutition along with a few others have embarked on project dubbed "Give Back Jamaica" to as he name suggests , give back to the insitution in the form of scholarships, lunch money (Bellyful club), shoes and socks donations (Kickers club) and the "One desk , one child" a  project to furnish he classrooms with desks and chairs befitting the new age in which we live. The current desks that are being used today are those which existed from the 60s, 70s 80s  to present.

With the small donations we received through our website givebackjamaica.com , from friends and our own personal contributions we have managed to exact success on some of the projects put forth. In July a total of 12 scholarships were given to needy students of the Crescent Primary School.  On September 22, 2021 the Give Back Jamaica donated over 300 pairs of school shoes compliment of the Kickers Club. On November 28, Give Back Jamaica hosted members of the faculty, the 12 students  who received scholarships and their parents to a dinner dubbd "Christmmas in November." 

The Give Back Jamica continues on a donation drive to allocate funding for the One desk one child project. We appeal to our listeners to help us , help a child.
