Growing up in Detroit Michigan, I listened to the sounds of

Benjamin Latimore, Theodis Ealey and Sir Charles Jones.

These great musicians are the pioneers of American blues.

Being from Detroit, home of Motown and some of the best

music to ever come out of a major city, I gained a great

appreciation for music at an early age. While people my age were listening to R&B and hip hop, I gravitated to the blues.

My father, Richard Taylor, introduced me to the blues at a

very young age. The embodiment of the music spoke to my emotions. 

After years of being a fan of the music, I decided

I wanted more. I wanted to reintroduce this genre of music

history, to a generation that may not know the relevance it

had on todays music culture.

I am Lady C. A journalist and host of Let's Talk Blues and

R&B.I'm using this forum to interview artist, to speak about

the greatness of the blues. I want to bring exposure to

people, about the music that spoke to my emotions as a

youth.
