The loss of instructional time exacerbated existing educational inequalities.Emotional Toll on Children: Witnessing destruction led to anxiety, fear, and trauma among children. Schools became crucial support systems for emotional healing. Jamaican communities rallied together, repairing damaged schools and organizing makeshift classrooms.
