Is There Any Doubt Who Drug Brandon McClelland to His Death

On September 16, 2008 Brandon McClelland was drug to his death on FM 2648 near Paris, TX. He was last seen with Shannon Finley & Ryan Crostley. Both Finley & Crostley visited Brandon McClelland's mother the day after the murder. When asked by Ms. McClelland what happened to her son, she was only told things had gotten out of control. The two quickly became suspects in Brandon's murder and both were later indicted. However, Lamar county's district attorney Gary Young removed himself from this case citing he had previously defended Shannon Finley in another murder case in which Finley was convicted of killing his best friend Mark Sneed. So they called in Dallas attorney Toby Shook and named him as special prosecutor. Once Toby Shook took over the case he quickly moved the venue from Lamar county to Hopkins county stating it would be hard for the two men to get a fair trial. Shortly after the venue change it was being rumored these guys were going to walk. Attorney Shook within days of this rumor circulating, stated he was not going to trial on this case because it lacked enough evidence to prosecute, which allowed Finley and Crostley to go free. Two and a half years later the Lamar county district attorney's office is treating the the murder of Brandon McClelland like a case of WHO DONE IT. A gravel truck driver by the name of Gary Clark was questioned in this case. However, he was told if he stated he may have hit Brandon that night, he would not ever face charges for Brandon McClelland's murder.
