Former Cleveland Cavaliers player Bingo Smith has passed away at the age of 77. During his nine seasons with the Cavaliers, Smith averaged over 13 points and shot 45% from the field. His Cavaliers numbers for games played, field goals made, minutes played & total points scored remain among the top 10 in franchise history. Smith's number seven was the second jersey number to be retired by the Cavaliers, and in 2019 he was also enshrined in the team's Wall of Honor. Three years earlier, he was inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame. In 2009, Smith suffered a stroke and had been battling health issues ever since. He is survived by five children, five grandchildren & two great-grandchildren.
