Warren Yeager is a cinematographer with a diverse background. His career started in Washington, DC as a news cameraman and documentary photojournalist. After almost a decade, he moved to Los Angeles and discovered narrative film; the ability to create a story rather than chase someone else’s story was appealing. He ultimately worked on several half-hour comedy shows, including HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm," hour dramas, and independent feature films. The writer’s strike took its toll and Warren expanded his creative repertoire to writing, direction producing and appearing in front of the camera. He as gravitated toward Western themed narrative, including Westworld and Deadwood: The Movies, focusing his attention on underrepresented elements of Western Culture. He now runs a troupe of Western gamblers, appearing at historical events in several states, and writes, directs and shoots historical pieces for venues and museums, recently earning a “Best Director” award for a music video at the country’s largest Western themed film festival. “Especially now, you have to adapt and innovate if you want to work in this industry.”
