Interview with Hey Romeo

Alberta Country group Hey Romeo took home the award for Group or Duo of the Year at The Canadian Country Music Awards in September 2011. “We are all just so shocked and excited by this amazing win and to have been in the same category alongside such talented artists was such an honour,” said Hey Romeo member Rob Shapiro. Rob, Stacie Roper, and Darren Gusnowsky, make for a genuine triple threat, when it comes to writing, singing, and playing. Their second album That’s What I Am is produced by Nashville songwriting ace Byron Hill. In January 2012, the group hosted the 1st Annual Alberta Country Music Association's Awards Show. Hey Romeo will open up shows starting in March for Gord Bamford on his Is It Friday Yet? 2012 Canadian tour.
