Deepertruth: Sponsorship in the RCIA, the Journey of Faith

So we really take our Journey seriously? 

The Easter Vigil is such a great Service because of the honor given to Christ in anticipation to the Easter Resurrection.  “It is he whom we proclaim, admonishing everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.  For this I labor and struggle, in accord with the exercise of His power working within me.” (Colossians 1:28-29)

I believe that the Lord can change the conditions of a persons heart. What do you do if you have a loved one who is living in the bondage of sin? Sometimes it can seem hopeless, remember, we are to “Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8).

Remember St. Monica? She prayed for her family for 30 years, we are not to lose heart, God is in control. In war, I was able to help soothe the grieving of Mothers for their sons death simply by sharing the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. It gave great consolation. We can pray for our loved ones who have built crust around their hearts of stone.  The Lord can set them free, create in me a clean heart oh God, that I too can “roll away the stone”.
