Today, I would like to share with you how the catholic faith spreads around the world among the men and women in uniform and how we can support such an important mission.
The Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) was established in 1985. It is currently under the care of Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, four auxiliary bishops and a brave group of priests. The AMS provides the pastoral and spiritual services to those serving in the United States armed forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and Navy), Veterans Administration Centers and Federal employees serving in 220 Military Installations and other federal buildings within the United States and overseas.
