“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, to the close of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
From this Great Commission Jesus Christ He commanded His Catholic Church to go to all the world bringing his truth to all that nations. For nearly 2,000 years, the Church continues to carry out this mission. I was blessed to have been in a chapel built in the second century high up a mountain. It was to hide from the Romans who were persecuting Christians and in this place of worship, you can still see the Altar used in this catacomb that was bore into rock.
I was also blessed to speak at a church in Meeker Colorado that was built in 1912 and commissioned in 1913, this Diocese was where Buffalo Bill was received into the Catholic Faith in 1917 just two days before his death in 1917.
Mark Kiser grew up with a great family setting, but unfortunately, faith in Christ was not a factor. He would have some personal struggles that would lead him to jail. While in jail, he had a true jailhouse conversion that would turn his life around. He would eventually become a Protestant Minister (Methodist) who used to believe that Catholics needed lots of help. I would agree with him, many Catholics do need help, but not in the way Mark used to think. Catholics have the fullness of truth, but many need that spiritual awakening that only the Holy Spirit can stir. It only takes a spark to get a fire going, so the Lord uses great testimonies and witness to help people see.
