Deepertruth: Be Strong be a man series with Mark Kiser, Catholic Convert

“Mark called me one evening and asked that I come by his house, and to my great joy, asked if I could bring him into the Catholic Church. When we plant seeds, we don’t know what is going to happen, as we pray and the Holy Spirit does the convicting. Mark and I had a few talks over the years, some for an hour or two, and one even for four hours, just ask his son. But Mark started checking into things, and one of the things he told me is that he had been lied to. Like I said to him, I believe that what he would call a lie happened not in malice, but in ignorance. When we have cradle Catholics that are ignorant of their faith, it is easy to understand that non-Catholics would be ignorant of what is truly believed by the Church.

Mark had his first opportunity this past weekend, as I was invited to come and speak on the Eucharist, miracles, and Mary in Boonville, Missouri, and I asked to bring him as a second speaker on each day, they said yes and we were able to get his feet wet at a Catholic venue. And two of the greatest things he brought to the table is that as a baby Catholic of 8 months, he was already working with the Vicar General in his Diocese to increase Eucharistic Adoration for the largest parish in Springfield, and he had made a Consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary on January 1st.

And he also became a member of the Militia Immaculata started by St. Maxmillian Kolbe *** the fire he has in his heart would be wonderful to have in all that call themselves Catholic, as in 8 months he has engaged in ways that many cradle Catholics have not engaged in 75 years of their individual life in the church.
