The Right Rev. Mariann Budde, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington, says she only learned of President Trump's visit to the historic St. John's Episcopal Church by watching it on the news and said the church disassociates itself from Trump's message and response to protests: “I am the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and was not given even a courtesy call that they would be clearing with tear gas so they could use one of our churches as a prop, holding a Bible, one that declares that God is love and when everything he has said and done is to enflame violence."
The riots all across America are disgusting and shocking. The people who are rioting, looting and attacking cops are acting like animals. I, personally would tell the Nationam Guard and cops to not hold back on anyone who is throwing fireworks, tear gas, bricks, etc,. and causing fires to police cars and police stations. I have seen the police being very lenient and reserved as they get pelted for hours with projectiles and it sickened me. None of those cops whom are being targeted and physically attacked were responsible for the tragic and unnecessary death of poor George Floyd.
Some of these protesters are paid agitators and some are definitely just gangs and thugs, whom are using this as an excuse to commit crimes and for self gain. They are tarnishing George's name and using his death for their own selfish self profit and gain. The cops should be forceful with the violent protesters as they are threatening the cops lives and innocent civilians lives and destroying everyone's cities and businesses.
These riots are ultimately, costing more black and white lives along with people's homes, businesses, cars, properties and wreaking havoc on our cities and neighbourhoods. They are out of control and have to be stopped. Peaceful protestes are of course, suitable and welcomed. It is a pillar of American democracy,
