Novena for the Holy Souls in Purgatory - Day 6

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ARE DETAINED IN PURGATORY, and immerse them in the abyss of My mercy. Let the torrents of My Blood cool down their scorching flames. All these souls are greatly loved by Me. They are making retribution to My justice. It is in your power to bring them relief. Draw all the indulgences from the treasury of My Church and offer them on their behalf. Oh, if you only knew the torments they suffer, you would continually offer for them the alms of the spirit and pay off their debt to My justice (Diary of St. Faustina, 1226).

• Make an Act of Contrition. You can use any form; simply ask God to pardon your sins and make a firm purpose of amendment not to commit them again.

Spiritual Communion: My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.

Amen.

Dear Lord, we trust in Your infinite goodness. We praise Your justice and implore Your mercy upon all the holy souls who are suffering in Purgatory as they await their eternal Heavenly rest with You.

None of us truly knows the day nor the hour when You will see fit to bring our lives to an end. Many people have met their deaths suddenly and have failed to prepare their souls for Your just judgment. Please exercise Your great mercy on all who have died in such a sudden manner.
