Tribute to Luther Vandross , The 70s - Encore

Divabetic remembers the seven-year anniversary of losing a legend, the late Luther Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) and presents this encore presentation of Tribute to Luther Vandross, The 70s, which was originally broadcast April 20, 2012. Divabetic, the organization inspired by Luther’s diabetes journey revisits the late singer’s early years. Mr. Divabetic, who worked with Vandross for more than 14 years, along with a few of Luther’s colleagues, collaborators, friends and fans, travel back to the 70s, a decade of funk, disco, rock, Afros, flower prints, bell-bottomed pants, platform shoes and lava lamps, to celebrate the artistry of the prolific singer-songwriter and record producer. This tribute remembers the moments, the music, the man and the motivation to ensure that no one has to struggle with diabetes alone or in silence.
