TALKING ABOUT:  Black History Month in the eyes of Black Centennials. It was established under the pretext of honoring the contributions of African Americans to U.S. History. It began as Negro History Week in 1926 created by Carter G. Woodson, a Black historian, scholar, educator and publisher. Became a month-long celebration 50 years later in 1976. Is this month a celebration or a deterrent?

Guests:  Mrs. Corine Lytle Cannon, Age 101 - Great Grand-Mother of Nick Cannon. The first female to work in Cannon Mills Manufacturing Company.

Mr. Talley R. Holmes, Jr., Age 98 – The son of the first Black U.S. Tennis Champion and Entrepreneur in Washington Dc.
