Dr. Harris Black Lives Show is the hottest show on the West Coast. Dr. Harris is known as an international civil right leader base in Fresno, California. Dr. Harris has travelled across the world teaching communities how to stand up and fight back. Dr. Harris will interview Denise RastaEmpress Vaughn who owns her own photography business.
Creating lens art since 1999 is inspired by love. Making an impact with imagery that radiates positive vibes, speaks to our culture, uplifts our spirits, and promotes organic healing remains the number one goal for Denise RastaEmpress Vaughn. Prior to attending Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA., She worked with a united Fresno based community and published three calendars, BBS (Beautiful Black Skin: 2005, 2006, 2008), featuring local Black Men. Many of the participants went on to be greater with their goals and visions. The BBS experience also motivated Rasta Chick to move to Santa Barbara for six years to explore the art of photography by some of the leading professionals in the industry. Returning to Fresno early 2012, fully focused on photography and family, Denise, thankfully continues to pursue the passion of capturing moments that may have been lost in a world forever changing. One of her favorite photographers is Gordon Parks. He said it best: “I picked up a camera because it was my choice of weapons against what I hated most about the universe: racism, intolerance, poverty. I could have just as easily picked up a knife or a gun, like many of my childhood friends did.
