Fresno Freedom School Re-opening Land Preparation Drive-up Caravan: Meet Big Red! To prepare for our upcoming Fresno Freedom School summer Ag. program, Founder Dr. Harris Jr., will be preparing the land with the help of Big Red the tractor. Please pull up curbside to see Big Red in Action. Social Distance will be marked off, and face mask encouraged. Valencia Fresno, CA 937069:00 am-11:00 am- Fresno Freedom School Stay-at-Home and Grow Demonstration Site Preview: Fresno Freedom School has always promoted urban farming and gardening. In response to COVID-19 and shelter-in-place orders, the Fresno Freedom School took it to a higher level. Fresno Freedom School Founder, Floyd D. Harris and Fresno Freedom School Board President Maria Else created the Fresno Freedom School Stay-at-Home and Grow your own vegetables project. Dr. Harris yard served as the project's primary demonstration site. Come out for a short Fresno School student-led tour of what is being grown, find out more about the project, and how to get involved, and sample a couple recipes made with Fresno School Stay at Home and Grow produce. Fresno School Founding Member, Ambassador, and current Southern University student Floyd D. Harris III will make a special guest appearance and talk about his experience with COVID-19, and offer words of encouragement to attendees. Freshly picked lettuce, green onion, and green tomatoes will be available for a small donation to Fresno Freedom School .Tour Times: Every 15 minutes starting at 9:15 am-10:45 am. Tours will be led by Fresno Freedom School students. Plastic gloves, and hand sanitizer will be made available, face masks are encouraged,and social distancing will be practiced.
