Our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy have changed. We think you'll like them better this way.
The baggage that we carry within our hearts for years are encapsulated in memories. Memories are our interpretations of our experiences. Memories are not, and cannot be objective. Memories can be inaccurate, distorted, emotionally charged, and filled with guilt, or not. We carry memories of the past that can fade, grow old, and remain yet ever poignant. Do you know that God knows you not through memories, or the shadowy past? God knows you in the present tense. He knows where you have been, and what you have done to survive the past. He knows when you live in the past, and why. He knows when you have been shattered by a past event (s). He (Jesus) is a Man of Sorrows and deeply aware of your stabbing or benign grief.
