A person who is schizophrenic has a secret life, or living two lives. One life could show a stable person who lives a normal life, such as, respectable marriage, good husband, father, worker, pious churchgoer, etc. Another dramatically different side could be one of extreme, abusive husband, violent out of control father, indulging in extra marital affairs, secret homosexual affairs, escapes through drug and booze binges and women. A religious fanaticism can cloak a dark, desperate soul capable of great anger and rage. Sometimes these personalities contend for preeminence and one will win over the other and become the dominate personality. When this occurs, friends and family become perplexed, thinking, it just is not the person that I know. The Church is filled with both men and women hiding their secret lives and putting on plastic faces in public.
