El Conservador - VIA misusing funds, again

Ken Ward with Texas Watchdog.org reports on how San Antonio is using an “advanced transportation” tax diverting funds for roads and streets to pave costly sidewalks and bike paths, and thus inviting a lawsuit from a taxpayer coalition. When voters approved an Advanced Transportation District tax in 2004 which generates $60 million annually, half of the funds were supposed to go to road construction, but… Listen and learn. This is yet another example of “Local Tyranny”.
