Former Bexar County Constable Nathan Buchanan talks about the San Antonio Police Department has installed a new touchless temperature detection camera system which will be able to scan 2,000 people an hour quickly and accurately. The question is, “then what?” Is this a role for law enforcement, and if someone tests with a higher or lower temperature what will happen?
According to the report, the Temperature Detection Cameras can scan a person and alert the officers instantly if an elevated temperature is present. However, is this a role for law enforcement or health professionals? Are law enforcement officers being placed in a dangerous unconstitutional role?
This appears to be another infringement by local tyrants on individual rights in the name of public safety. Dictators always use the greater good as an excuse limit individual freedom. Listen and learn.
